Current Status

I’m Terrance Pitre, a Multimedia Designer currently residing in New York City. I live with my wife, Katie, and our two cats, Jaynie and Billy. I work as the Webmaster for Emeril Lagasse’s Homebase and Senior Front-End Developer for Martha Stewart.

How I Got Here

Growing up I was always into painting and illustration. When I entered college I thought it would be a good idea to expand on that, so I entered into the world of graphic design. I started taking on small freelance jobs designing stationary packages and brochures. Eventually a few clients wanted to develop a web presence and asked if I could help. I was instantly attracted to the process of web designing and developing. And so began my quest to educate myself on all things web.

This Site

SouthLeft is about my random thoughts and interests and sharing them with you. This site was built using Wordpress for the CMS and is XHTML valid. I began with the default Wordpress theme and customized it to it’s current look and feel (if anyone wanted to know).

Software – I used mostly Adobe Fireworks for any graphic elements, Coda for my text editor, and CSS Edit for styling.

Hardware – I did most of this site on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.6 and a pretty sweet dual monitor setup.
